Description of Gynecomastia Reduction
In this method, the surgeon uses a small cannula to remove the spare fatty tissues
in the breast. The incisions needed in this procedure are relatively small and will not likely to produce any
visible scar. The advantage of gynecomastia reduction through liposuction is that the patient can go back to work
one day past liposuction procedure. However, this cannot be applied in all
cases. Others may go back to work after 3 days to a week. The key is that, while they are in the process of healing
they should refrain from doing any strenuous activities to avoid complications.
On the other hand, gynecomastia reduction through surgical excision is performed
under local anesthesia. Usually, only small incision is needed to remove fatty tissues from the patient’s breast.
Some doctors would even let the tiny wounds to heal better bynot stitching the incisions. Finally, the patient can
already go back to work and perform ordinary practices two to three days past the surgery.
