Another alternative for breast reconstruction is by using the patient’s own tissues usually obtained from areas at the back, buttocks and belly to restore the appearance of the breast. Though it could be a good method to use, there is a possibility that the surgery would still require an implant.

There are some instances where the patient is unhappy with the outcome of the breast reconstruction and is requesting for another surgery to enhance the result. A board certified cosmetic surgeon is the best doctor to handle this concern as they have wider understanding on cosmetic surgery.

Fat injections could be a good option for touch-up procedure. It can enhance the form of the breast and corrects some imperfections like implant rumpling and dimpling. Transferring of tissue is needed to create balance and to fill up major indentations.

While reconstruction of breast can be a good choice to achieve once more the natural appearance of your breast after prophylactic breast removal, it may also bring another risk that can be harmful to your health. Therefore, it is recommended to arrange a follow up plan with your surgeon to monitor your condition as deem necessary. Be always, protective to your overall health.
